Bizarre Trump prediction states blue states are on verge of having ‘no people’

President Donald Trump offered a dystopian prediction Tuesday on the future of Democratic-controlled states — chief among them being that they would soon have no residents left.

“Rich people and Companies are pouring out of Dumocrat run Blue States at levels never seen before!” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social, an assertion that was not backed up with any evidence.

“If this trend continues, these States will become the ‘Ghettos’ of the Future — No people, no money, no hope. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump was responding to recent reporting about True Value Hardware relocating its headquarters from Illinois to Indiana, the latest example of corporate flight to Republican-controlled states. Companies are often drawn to red states by lower wages, fewer corporate regulations and fewer worker protections when compared with Democratic-controlled states.

Scare tactics abounded when Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani became the mayor of New York City, but the claims that corporations would flee the city turned out to be unfounded.
