The proof, he argued, lies in Trump’s flurry of AI-generated images of himself posted to his Truth Social account — all of which frantically try to paint him as some great historical figure.

One of the images showed a fake time-travel science fiction video, of a caped Trump saving George Washington from falling off Mount Rushmore to his death. Another depicted him standing outside the White House with former President John F. Kennedy.

“Trump probably, on some level, despite the fact that he’s a narcissist and a psychopath and all these other things … has the worst case of imposter syndrome in history,” said Rothkopf on The Daily Beast Podcast. These images, he argued, are a sign he “feels extremely insecure.”

Trump has dealt with a number of health scares in recent years, as well as a flurry of speculation about his lab [results] anomalies, swollen ankles, and makeup-covered hands, which could be pointing to serious age-related issues, possibly even heart failure.

The president has also aggressively tried to put his name and designs all over Washington, D.C., from banners of his face on government buildings, to his failed attempt to put his name on the Kennedy Center, to his plans for a giant White House ballroom and victory arch across the Potomac.
