Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has become a conservative hero for voicing her opposition to transgender athletes playing in women’s sports, The Daily Beast reported.

Eric Trump’s wife — daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump — has now entered the public chatter about it. And during an episode of her podcast “The Right View with Lara Trump,” she attacked the athletes.

“These women have become so catty, I hate to say it, but it’s so indicative of what happens when you get a group of women together,” she said. “They’re at each other’s throats. They’re so jealous of one another.”

She offered some advice for the league.

“I will say it’s garnered a lot of interest, though,” Lara Trump added. “Maybe they need to lean into some of these star players, even if they don’t like them.”

Her guest, former Trump administration official Theo Wold, piled on the attack and compared the WNBA to a “root canal,” griping that fans aren’t looking for athletes to lecture them. They also zeroed in on the WNBA’s collective bargaining agreement, as Lara Trump complained that despite hundreds of pages, the document never actually defines what a “woman” is.

“It’s not fun,” Wold said. “And the whole point of the WNBA is that, at the end of the day, it’s supposed to be entertainment. Americans aren’t buying tickets to go get lectured by leftist athletes.”
