Sen. Chuck Grassley unwittingly sent a crude message to his constituents Saturday when a social media post went awry.

Grassley (R-IA) smiled for the camera as he posed next to a sheep at the Iowa State Fair — apparently unaware of the photobomb behind him
“My compliments to the sheep barn at the Iowa state fair for having warm water when u wash ur hands,” wrote Grassley. “Pretty nice.”
Behind him, a young man’s t-shirt delivered a contrasting message: “I [heart] sluts.”

If Grassley didn’t notice the youth, his X followers sure did.
“Maybe check your surrounding before taking the picture,” replied one X user.
“Is this your nephew waiting on your photo op?” asked another.
“‘I love sluts’ shirt in the back left is too much!” an apparent fan replied.
“It’s still early, said another fan, “but Grassley may have won the internet for the day.”
Gene Szpiech had a warning: “Hide your sheep!”
This isn’t the first time this month Grassley’s public outreach has left people scratching their heads. Just last Saturday, he penned a loving eulogy to his vacuum cleaner Beth.
