Cameras captured Eric Trump and Harp chatting ahead of the race. The images were broadcast just a couple of days after Eric Trump posted on X that Harp is a “hardworking woman” who “got all of the family genetics,” a comment some analysts called cringy.
Lip reader Nicola Hickling told The Mirror US what she captured during the brief interaction between Eric Trump and Harp on Sunday.
According to Hickling, Harp appeared to say, “Apparently it’s fun,” about the Trump-backed IndyCar race. In turn, Eric Trump responded, with video showing him turning his body to look directly at Harp, “I haven’t seen this many cars.”
“Don’t worry, we will have fun,” Harp said in response, according to Hickling.
“Hopefully,” Eric Trump responded, according to Hickling. “Will your car win?”
“Hopefully,” Harp said. She then asked, “Have you picked a car number?”
Eric said, “No, I haven’t. I’ll just watch,” according to Hickling.
Harp has become one of Trump’s most well-known aides after it was revealed that she wrote several personal and intimate letters to Trump before she joined his administration. Harp credits the president for saving her life because he allowed experimental cancer drugs to be imported into the U.S., and one of them happened to cause Harp’s cancer to go into remission.
Harp’s estranged brother, Preston, has spoken out since Harp began living in the spotlight, calling on his sister to “wake up” from her “unhealthy” obsession with President Donald Trump.

The interaction between Eric Trump and Harp also caught the eyes of political analysts, who shared their reactions on social media.
“If you wanted this scandal to go away, wouldn’t you just lay low for a little?” Molly Jong-Fast, an MS NOW analyst, posted on X.
“Trying to lay the groundwork to become the favorite child of his future new stepmom,” Veterans for Responsible Leadership, a political advocacy group, posted on X.
“He probably mistook her for Ivanka,” Vince Wilson, a liberal political commentator, posted on X.
