Puck’s Abby Livingston appeared on MS NOW with Peter Alexander to discuss whether Trump was “growing anxious” about the Senate seat flipping to Democrats.
“I think it’s still unclear how engaged the president is actually on this race,” Livingston said. “He’s saying he’s going to campaign in Texas. But I think that’s more about his interest in being in Texas, in a red state.”

Livingston said she doubted it could move the needle.
“I don’t think it’s enough,” she said. “Texas is an enormous money pit, and even if James Talarico comes up short in this race, he may bring down other Senate seats in other states for Democrats.”
Livingston argued that while Trump might be checked out, his fellow conservatives are hyper-focused on the race — and for the wrong reason.
“Boy, those Senate Republicans are terrified of this race,” she said. “People on the ground in Texas, Republicans, are scared to death over this race.”
