Republican insiders fear Charlie Kirk’s absence from the campaign trail could hurt the party’s efforts to reach young voters as the midterm elections rapidly approach, according to an exclusive report.

With just 54 days until Election Day and the GOP struggling in the polls, allies of President Donald Trump told the Daily Mail that Kirk’s death left a political void no one has been able to fill — especially within the MAGA base.
“Charlie was a one-of-one figure in American politics,” a longtime Trump adviser and personal friend of Kirk told the outlet. “The vast majority of people in Trump’s orbit miss Charlie, and you know, it’s a hole that is going to last forever.”
Kirk, who was assassinated one year ago while speaking at a Utah college, helped energize young conservatives, and his voter outreach efforts and campus tours helped fuel Trump’s 2024 campaign, insiders said.
“He had a unique ability to energize young people and bring people into the movement who otherwise may have never gotten involved,” another Trump adviser said. “As the midterms approach, I think that impact is going to be especially noticeable.”

Another pointed to his massive network of donors, activists, and political figures.
“He was somebody who had a Rolodex bigger than just about anybody else’s,” the adviser said, according to the Daily Mail. “Charlie built a machine that will long outlive and outlast him, and he did that by design.”
Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet said Kirk’s influence came from years of carefully building the organization and amplifying its message.
“As we head into the midterms, that mission has never been more important,” he said.
