Trump leads GOP convention in pledge to ‘cheat’ in midterms: ‘So help me God!’

President Donald Trump made the crowd at the GOP convention in Dallas take a pledge to vote in the midterms on Thursday night, which included a stipulation to “cheat like hell.”

“Please raise your right hand!” Trump commanded. “I pledge, to the greatest president in the history of the United States, [who] loves us so much he can’t even breathe, that I will go out with my family, my friends; I will do it any way, I will try to cheat like they do. I don’t care! We are going to vote on November 3, or we are going to vote before that!”

“So help me, God!” Trump concluded the pledge.

The crowd began chanting U.S.A. in response.
