Reacting to an MS NOW report that White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has been counseling panicky staffers who want Donald Trump to get back to issues that concern voters because of his cratering approval numbers, “The Weekend” co-host Jonathan Capehart claimed the trusted presidential advisor is fighting a losing battle.

According to the report, Wiles tried to assuage concerns and advised them to “let Trump be Trump.”
On Saturday morning, Capehart told his colleagues, “I think White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles is in la la land when she says she’s directing her staff to stick to the affordability script and let ‘Trump be Trump.’”

“Does she not know who she works for?” he asked to laughter from the panel. “You can be saying ‘affordability,’ but if brother man goes out there and says, ‘Look at the pool, look at the ballroom, look at this, look at my UFC crazy alien portal thing on the South Lawn of the White House, everyone’s going to focus on that.”
“I mean, is she — her job is tough, that’s all I want to say,” he added to more laughter.
