President Donald Trump revealed early Monday morning that his efforts to negotiate an end to his deeply unpopular war against Iran were being compromised by \u201cchirping\u201d critics, whom he pleaded with to stop, \u201csit back and relax.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIran really wants to make a deal, and it will be a good one for the U.S.A. and those that are with us,\u201d Trump wrote<\/u> on his social media platform Truth Social.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dumocrats, and various seemingly unpatriotic Republicans, understand that it is MUCH tougher for me to properly do my job and negotiate, when political hacks keep negatively \u2018chirping,\u2019 at levels never seen before, over and over again, that I should move faster, or move slower, or go to war, or not go to war, or whatever.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Trump administration has struggled to broker a deal with Tehran to end the war, in large part due to the president\u2019s inability<\/u> to pressure Israel into halting its bombardment of Lebanon \u2013 a condition Iran has insisted must be part of any agreement. And, with the war causing economic turmoil across the globe, Trump has reportedly been looking for a way out<\/u> of the conflict he initiated since at least early March, but to no success.<\/p>\n

Critics across the political spectrum, Trump admitted, were apparently making negotiations \u201cmuch tougher,\u201d and to them, the president issued a plea.<\/p>\n
