Kentucky Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear tore into Vice President JD Vance during a live CNN broadcast on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Beshear joined CNN anchor Kasie Hunt to talk about the primary election in Kentucky when he gave his real opinions of Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio \u2014 taking a clear jab at the Trump administration and the cabinet leaders. Hunt asked Beshear what he thought about Vance or Rubio launching a 2028 presidential bid. Beshear slammed Vance’s comment during a White House press conference that he would not rule out using money from a $1.8 billion fund to pay potential Jan. 6 rioters.<\/p>\n

“Flat out crazy, and it’s all<\/span> out fraud,” Beshear said. “I mean, Donald Trump<\/span> made JD Vance the czar fraud.<\/span> Well, there’s now a 1.78, 1.7,<\/span> or $1.8 billion slush fund for<\/span> Donald Trump’s allies. There’s<\/span> $1 billion ballroom that hasn’t<\/span> been approved. Donald Trump is<\/span> buying stocks and then pumping<\/span> up the companies. Hey, JD,<\/span> there’s the fraud. Go get it.” <\/span><\/p>\n

Hunt also asked Beshear if he thought it would be more difficult for a Democrat to face off against Vance or Rubio in a potential 2028 presidential bid. The Democrat had a few personal comments on both Trump allies.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I think we’ve got to<\/span> be ready for whoever it is, and<\/span> we’ve got to be ready for them<\/span> to be willing to say anything,” Beshear responded. “I<\/span> mean, JD Vance pretends he’s<\/span> from Kentucky. He’s not. He’s <\/span>from the suburbs of Cincinnati.<\/span> He made his money off talking<\/span> down to the people of<\/span> Appalachia. It was poverty<\/span> tourism. This is a guy who<\/span> changed his name multiple times<\/span> and who calls his childhood his<\/span> origin story.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He turned to Rubio, and what Beshear views as the secretary of state’s desperate attempts to please Trump.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Marco Rubio<\/span> appears to be willing to do<\/span> anything to get ahead,” Beshear added. “I mean,<\/span> he works for a president that<\/span> called him little Marco, that<\/span> insulted him over and over. And<\/span> what’s his response? Yes, sir.<\/span> And yes, sir. So I think the<\/span> American people are going to be<\/span> ready regardless for real<\/span> leadership, people that have the<\/span> receipts of getting things<\/span> done in their states, and<\/span> they’re going to be looking for<\/span> someone that again,<\/span> doesn’t just swing that pendulum<\/span> from one side to another, but<\/span> can actually restore the<\/span> stability of this country, can<\/span> restore the stability of our<\/span> economy and can make sure we’re<\/span> no longer viewed internationally<\/span> as the bully on the playground \u2014 b<\/span>ut once again, the leader of<\/span> the free world.”<\/span><\/p>\n
