\u201cHe Tied Firecrackers to Cats. Yes, you read that right,\u201d reads Zeteo\u2019s report published on Monday. <\/p>\n

\u201cOn a television show, De la Espriella confessed<\/u> that when young, he tied firecrackers to cats to try to make them fly, but they ended up exploding. He first said he was an \u2018innocent\u2019 child at the time, then walked the story back, saying<\/u> it was a bad joke. Sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also a businessman, De la Espriella has \u201cmade a brand of flaunting his wealth,\u201d Zeteo\u2019s report reads, and is \u201coften seen wearing tailored suits, fedoras, and fancy watches.\u201d He practiced law in Miami, Florida as a defense attorney and \u201ccame to prominence\u201d defending right-wing paramilitaries and “politicians accused of corruption.\u201d<\/p>\n

De la Espriella also \u201csexually harassed\u201d a journalist during an appearance on a popular radio show, Zeteo reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn a popular radio show, De la Espriella said<\/u> women would vote for him because of the size of his genitals, then showed a female reporter a photo of himself in sweatpants, asking her to zoom in on his groin,\u201d Zeteo\u2019s report reads. \u201cThe reporter said she felt \u2018violated, harassed, and disgusted.\u2019 A court ordered<\/u> him to publicly apologize.\u201d<\/p>\n

De la Espriella received a “congratulatory call\u201d from Trump after his apparent election victory, Reuters reported<\/u>, with the president touting<\/u> his endorsement record after De la Espriella\u2019s election win Tuesday morning. De la Espriella\u2019s victory represents a recent \u201cshift to the right<\/u>\u201d in Latin America.<\/p>\n
