Political analysts ridiculed President Donald Trump’s state fair after it was announced that FBI Director Kash Patel’s MAGA girlfriend was tapped to perform.<\/p>\n

Alexis Wilkins announced via a post on X that she will be a “featured performer” at the June 24 kick-off rally to the Great American State Fair.<\/p>\n

“Does having the FBI director’s girlfriend getting paid by the taxpayers to perform violate federal ethics laws?” wondered political reporter Sara Higdon.<\/p>\n

Higdon’s comments seemed to strike a chord, as Wilkins responded, “Let’s just get a few things straight…I have been a country music artist for years now. I have had a successful career.”<\/p>\n

Aidan Thompson, an independent journalist and founder of the AF Post, responded in turn by pointing out, “You don’t even have 6k monthly listeners. What ‘successful career’?”<\/p>\n

“Kash Patel’s country-singer girlfriend will be performing on the National Mall,” The Bulwark senior reporter Will Sommer reacted on X. “Apparently at the concert that Martina McBride and Milli Vanilli dropped out of.”<\/p>\n

“I had my fingers crossed she’d step in!” joked left-wing podcaster Matthew Sitman. “It’s a July 4 miracle.”<\/p>\n
