A Washington, D.C. lawmaker captured a tour of the Great American State Fair in Washington D.C. on Friday \u2014 showing a mostly empty fairgrounds.<\/p>\n

At-Large D.C. Councilmember Christina Henderson shared the Instagram video and spoke about checking out the booths for states, with some passing out brochures and others hosting interactive experiences.<\/p>\n

“I occasionally do things so you don’t have to,” Henderson joked. “Take a look at this paper m\u00e2ch\u00e9-arch-looking situation.” <\/p>\n

Henderson walked through the fairgrounds and described the scene.<\/p>\n

“Besides the Ferris wheel there’s actually no other activity, so it’s not like a fair where you’re coming to ride a bunch of rides or see stuff. They have the rodeo and that’s about it,” she explained.<\/p>\n

“If you’re looking for state fair food \u2014 they ain’t got it,” Henderson said.<\/p>\n

She wrote in her caption: “Not a funnel cake, corn dog, bucket lemonade, or fried Snickers in sight.”<\/p>\n
