As dozens of masked men from the white nationalist group<\/u> Patriot Front marched<\/u> in the nation\u2019s capital Saturday, Fox News host Laura Ingraham floated a theory in an apparent attempt to distance the GOP from the neo-fascist<\/u> march, a theory that left one former Republican lawmaker floored.<\/p>\n

On Saturday afternoon, journalist and writer Richie McGinniss uploaded<\/u> a video of himself questioning people who appear to be members of Patriot Front standing in front of the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

Despite there being countless reports by reputable news outlets on Patriot Front\u2019s march through the nation\u2019s capital, Ingraham floated a bizarre theory regarding McGinniss\u2019 video.<\/p>\n

\u201cI call fake,\u201d reads a social media post<\/u> on X published Saturday by Ingraham\u2019s account, responding to the video published by McGinniss \u201cLooks more like Antifa in costume. No one should be allowed to cover their faces.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adam Kinzinger, a former GOP U.S. House member from Illinois, issued Ingraham a blistering rebuke.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes of course. Fake. That’s the only defense you have to this?\u201d Kinzinger wrote Saturday in a social media post<\/u> on X. \u201cHow about condemning it?\u201d<\/p>\n

Billy Ray, a notable film director and screenwriter, also issued Ingraham a fierce response.<\/p>\n

\u201cLaura, why is it so scary for you to admit that this exists amid your party \u2013 and your audience?\u201d Ray asked in a social media post<\/u> published on X Saturday. \u201cIf you were an actual journalist, you\u2019d have to.\u201d<\/p>\n
