\u201cSome are even arguing with Secret Service agents,\u201d wrote<\/u> the Times\u2019 Aishvarya Kavi, reporting from the scene. \u201cAn officer is sternly repeating the evacuation order over a bullhorn, and the crowd is booing. Many have begun chanting \u2018U.S.A., U.S.A.\u2019 One man blamed the situation on \u2018liberals in the weather service,\u2019 adding, \u2018I think this is baloney.\u2019”<\/p>\n

The Secret Service has suspended all checkpoint operations at the National Mall due to dangerous weather conditions, the agency said in a statement, according to the Times<\/u>. Attendees are reportedly being shuffled<\/u> into \u201cnearby Smithsonian museums and federal buildings,\u201d with officials “scrambling” to get the thousands of fair-goers to safety.<\/p>\n
