Why? Huffines has ties to an infamous property once owned by Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n

Huffines was exposed<\/u> in February after his wife was revealed to have been the mystery purchaser of Epstein\u2019s Zorro Ranch, a sprawling New Mexico complex central to the disgraced financier\u2019s supposed plan to \u201cseed the human race with his DNA by impregnating women,\u201d the New York Times previously reported<\/u>. <\/p>\n

The Justice Department had also that the property is the burial site of at least \u201ctwo foreign girls.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Huffines family purchased the property<\/u> in 2019 using an anonymously registered shell company, and was documented by Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez \u2013 a journalist whose reporting has uncovered a number of previously unreported revelations regarding Epstein \u2013 as having maintained an advanced communications network at the property she suspected<\/u> may have been used to surveil two nearby nuclear weapons laboratories.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon Huffines is the man on whose watch huge portions of that ranch \u2013 a site of child sex trafficking likely used to collect blackmail material on powerful scientists and politicians associated with the nuclear weapons industry in New Mexico \u2013 were ordered to be excavated and reconstructed, often without proper licensing,\u201d Valdes-Rodriguez wrote in an analysis<\/u> published Saturday on her Substack. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe is the man who has kept the ranch\u2019s military-grade FCC microwave radio licenses \u2013 the communications infrastructure this publication has documented connecting Zorro Ranch to Sandia Crest Tower<\/u> \u2013 active and under the management of Epstein\u2019s own former ranch manager.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Abbott, Valdes-Rodriguez joined Huffines\u2019 opponent in his race for comptroller \u2013 Democrat Sarah Eckhardt \u2013 in condemning the GOP governor for his apparent attempt to hand Huffines an easy victory.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbbott, announcing the appointment, praised Huffines as \u2018a fifth-generation Texan, successful businessman, and proven conservative leader.\u2019 Eckhardt, his opponent in November, said Huffines \u2018can\u2019t win on his own\u2019 and accused the governor of skirting the voters to install him in the seat before the election,\u201d Valdes-Rodriguez wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is right about the sequence. Whatever happens in November, Don Huffines will have run the office for months as an appointee first \u2013 hiring, restructuring, and setting priorities with the full power of incumbency, none of it ratified by a single ballot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Huffines proudly touts<\/u> his support of President Donald Trump in his bid for comptroller, and his son, Russell Huffines<\/u>, was hired by the Trump administration last June as associate director of agency outreach, where he\u2019s paid a year, RealClear Investigations has reported<\/u>.<\/p>\n
