Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche got feisty with a Trump appointee over the weekend during a \u201cwild\u201d and exclusive party in Washington, D.C. \u2013 and reportedly over a comment regarding his sneakers, according to the Daily Mail<\/u>.<\/p>\n

Top Trump administration officials celebrated the United States\u2019 250th anniversary on Saturday with Curtis James Jackson III \u2013 better known by his stage name 50 Cent \u2013 at the Executive Branch, a private club often called<\/u> the \u201cprivate club for the MAGA elite.\u201d<\/p>\n

A number of top officials were present at the event, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and FBI Director Kash Patel. Blanche was also present and, according to the Daily Mail, was “all smiles” following his recent nomination for permanent Attorney General.<\/p>\n

\u201cDressed down slightly in bold sneakers, several event-goers remarked how ‘cool’ it was that Blanche was rocking the casual footwear, easily dancing to 50 Cent’s soundtrack alongside his wife,\u201d the Daily Mail reported Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Lindsey Halligan, a former Trump-appointed U.S. attorney who in January left the Justice Department after a court ruled her appointment to be unlawful, was also at the party, and, according to the Daily Mail, got into a tense but brief moment with the acting attorney general.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump’s former handpicked interim US attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia took a veiled dig at Blanche’s shoes, whispering a cold ‘maybe’ when asked if they were ‘cool,\u2019\u201d the Daily Mail\u2019s report reads. \u201cHalligan was noticeably nowhere near Blanche for the entire evening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most reporters were banned from attending the private party, though the Daily Mail claimed they observed CNN\u2019s Alayna Treene \u201cslip inside near the end of the event.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seems, for one night only, the fierce MAGA club was willing to make nice with the network – capping off a wild, caviar-fueled night,\u201d the Daily Mail\u2019s report reads.<\/p>\n
