Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) championed the United States\u2019 most recent wave of strikes on Iran Saturday, urging the Trump administration to escalate the war further and unleash \u201cthe gates of hell\u201d on the Middle East nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am heartbroken and overwhelmed with gratitude to the soldiers and their families who sacrificed to protect America from the threat of an Iranian nuclear weapon,\u201d Fine wrote Saturday in a social media post<\/u> on X. \u201cWe must avenge them. May the gates of hell open to the evil in Iran. Bombs away.\u201d<\/p>\n

U.S. Central Command revealed<\/u> Saturday evening that the United States had launched a new wave of strikes on Iran in retaliation for Iranian strikes on the U.S. Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, strikes that killed<\/u> at least two U.S. service members.<\/p>\n

Fine has long championed U.S. aggression toward Iran and is among the most pro-Israel lawmakers in Congress, having embraced<\/u> his moniker \u201cThe Hebrew Hammer.\u201d He\u2019s received scrutiny for his rhetoric, with critics labeling it as \u201cracist<\/u>\u201d and \u201cgenocidal<\/u>,\u201d particularly when directed at Palestinians.<\/p>\n

For instance, last year Fine said Gazans should \u2018starve away<\/u>\u2019 until all Israeli hostages were returned, a remark made in response to reports about rising famine deaths<\/u> of Gazans amid Israel\u2019s aid blockade<\/u>. In 2021, in response to a social media user who shared a photo of what appeared to be a Gazan infant buried in rubble with the question \u201chow do you sleep at night,\u201d Fine responded \u201cquite well, actually<\/u>,\u201d and \u201cthanks for the pic!\u201d<\/p>\n

Amid the Iran war escalations, Trump was reportedly spotted<\/u> at his golf club in New Jersey, sparking a chorus of criticism<\/u> from critics.<\/p>\n
