{"id":4987,"date":"2026-07-26T19:05:48","date_gmt":"2026-07-26T19:05:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/propertyrelocationusa.com\/?p=4987"},"modified":"2026-07-26T19:05:48","modified_gmt":"2026-07-26T19:05:48","slug":"trump-ambassadors-disastrous-interview-sparks-derision-over-contradictory-claims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/propertyrelocationusa.com\/?p=4987","title":{"rendered":"Trump ambassador\u2019s \u2018disastrous interview\u2019 sparks derision over contradictory claims"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The Trump administration\u2019s United Nations ambassador was swarmed by critics Sunday who dubbed his interview with NBC News\u2019 Kristen Welker &#8220;disastrous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/propertyrelocationusa.com\/?p=4985\">\u2018People are scared\u2019: MAGA senator lashes out at Trump over \u2018hair trigger\u2019 tensions<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mike Waltz issued several seemingly conflicting statements in his conversation with Welker about recent <u>reporting<\/u> that the Trump administration has held off on escalating its attacks on Iran.<\/p>\n<p> Welker noted the report linked the delay to military stockpile shortages, and asked Waltz id said reporting was accurate.<\/p>\n<p>Waltz pushed back on the idea that the Trump administration lacked adequate stockpiles \u2014 but also blamed shortages on the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of stockpiles were depleted from what we gave Ukraine over the last four, five years,\u201d Waltz said. \u201c[Defense] Secretary [Pete] Hegseth inherited a depleted situation from not only Ukraine, but also the ongoing fight with the Houthis under the Biden administration, and the depleted military under the Biden administration!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Welker then asked if Waltz was admitting that U.S. military weapons were \u201cdepleted at this moment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo,&#8221; he snapped. &#8220;I want to be crystal clear: the U.S. military \u2013 and I\u2019ve verified this every which way \u2013 has everything that it needs to conduct this campaign as effectively as it needs to be.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/propertyrelocationusa.com\/?p=4983\">\u2018Deadly mistakes\u2019: Trump border czar gets pummeled on-air for shrugging ICE answers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Waltz added, \u201cThe people that are leaking this nonsense deserve to be in jail.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The contradictory comments did not go unnoticed online. <\/p>\n<p>John Jackson, an American pro-Ukraine commentator and former trial lawyer, flagged Waltz\u2019s remarks in a blunt <u>post<\/u> on X.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDisastrous interview,&#8221; Jackson wrote. &#8220;He uses the word depleted then acts like he didn\u2019t. About as coherent as our policy on Iran.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Writer and political commentator Jim Stewartson echoed Jackson\u2019s assessment in a <u>post<\/u> on X to his more than 152,000 followers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe official U.S. position is that ammunition is depleted because of Biden but also you should go to jail for saying ammunition is depleted,\u201d Stewartson wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Litigation attorney Dilan Esper <u>quipped<\/u> that you could see Waltz\u2019s \u201cnose grow in real time\u201d over the course of the interview, and Ryan Goodman, a prominent national security law scholar, noted the contradiction in Waltz\u2019s remark about jailing leakers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPro tip: If they deserve to be in jail then &#8230; it&#8217;s not nonsense.
