President Donald Trump erupted Friday in a lengthy 253-word rant over his stalled \u201canti-weaponization fund,\u201d his taxpayer-funded $1.7 billion fund dedicated to awarding payouts to Jan. 6 Capitol riot participants who he claimed had been \u201chunted down like dogs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump singled out Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), who has vowed<\/u> to withhold his support for Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche\u2019s confirmation until the fund was eliminated, much to the frustration of Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cJohn Cornyn never had a problem with the so called \u2018Fund,\u2019 which will not benefit me, but rather the great American Patriots who were hunted down like dogs,\u201d Trump wrote<\/u> on Truth Social, “and whose lives were unfairly and illegally destroyed by the Crooked Joe Biden Administration, until after I decided to Endorse and Support his Republican Primary opponent in Texas, who easily won the Nomination for the United States Senate.”<\/p>\n

Trump followed up this boast with more complaining. <\/p>\n

\u201cPerhaps there has never been a group of people treated so badly in our Nation\u2019s history,” he wrote. “They are suffering still, many ruined, and I felt that they should be given compensation for what has been done to them. I gave up any payments for myself, which would have been substantial, including for the illegal and unprecedented raid on Mar-a-Lago, my home in Florida, even though many legal experts, and others, including John Cornyn, said it was a shocking and disgusting display of \u2018weaponization\u2019 against me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump wrapped up his tantrum with a complaint that was also a boast. <\/p>\n

\u201cSuch an event has never happened before, and hopefully will never happen again!” he wrote. “I will always feel that these victims of government abuse should be paid back for what they were forced to endure, their lives have been ruined!\u201d<\/p>\n
