A MAGA candidate running with President Donald Trump’s endorsement has been living a life of luxury outside the state where he’s running, per The Daily Beast.<\/p>\n

The Republican nominee for governor in Iowa, Zach Lahn, has been living in a multimillion-dollar mansion in Kansas despite presenting himself to voters as a farmer, according to reporting by The Daily Beast. Lahn is running on a platform aligned with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Make America Healthy Again movement and also has the endorsement of Turning Point Action, the conservative group founded by Charlie Kirk.<\/p>\n

An investigation by The Daily Beast found that his Kansas mansion is worth about $2 million. His wife, Annie Lahn, is the ex-daughter-in-law of billionaire Republican donor Charles Koch. Lahn and his wife bought the property in 2024 and transferred it to an LLC, according to The Daily Beast, which noted that the move is likely meant to hide Lahn’s ownership.<\/p>\n

“The Kansas mansion sits on a large plot of land with a private lake,” The Daily Beast reported. “The luxurious home came equipped with an indoor pool, with one real estate outlet even calling the property ‘a place on Earth that was closest to heaven.'”<\/p>\n

Lahn also owns property in Iowa, The Daily Beast added. He bought his great-grandmother’s farm in Belle Plaine, Iowa, his hometown, according to The Daily Beast, which found no indication that Lahn treats the property as his primary residence.<\/p>\n

“Records reviewed by The Daily Beast indicate that he has never claimed any property in Iowa as his primary residence,” it reported. Lahn refinanced his great-grandmother’s farm in 2021, and he and his wife waived the Iowa Homestead Tax Credit, according to The Daily Beast, which considered it “a sign that they do not consider the Iowa property to be their primary home.”<\/p>\n

According to flight records reviewed by The Daily Beast, Lahn, a licensed pilot who owns a plane, travels to and from his Iowa campaign events and regularly flies in and out of Wichita.<\/p>\n
