President Donald Trump keeps getting tricked by “bad actors” who call the White House late at night, according to a new report.<\/p>\n

White House officials are fuming that Trump administration leaders have taken to pushing their agendas privately to the president after his aides have gone home, sources told the Daily Beast Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cCertain people\u2014bad actors\u2014have found ways, like calling at night when his senior crew of advisers is not around, to push things through,” a source close to Trump told the Beast.<\/p>\n

Among the tricksters is Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who convinced Trump to nominate Richard \u201cLance\u201d Schroyer as ICE director while chief of staff Susie Wiles was at her daughter’s wedding, according to the report.<\/p>\n

Mullin appears to have learned this trick from his ousted predecessor Kristi Noem, whom the Daily Beast enjoys calling “ICE Barbie.”<\/p>\n

Former Homeland Security Secretary Noem and her adviser Corey Lewandowski snuck into the White House after the fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, multiple sources told the Beast.<\/p>\n

The next morning, Trump publicly heaped praise upon Noem, writing on Truth Social: \u201cThe Radical Left Lunatics, Insurrectionists, Agitators, and Thugs, are going after Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security, because she is a woman, and has done a really GREAT JOB!<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to Secretary Kristi Noem.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now it appears Trump insiders have cottoned onto Noem’s trick.<\/p>\n

“The lesson that Trumpworld officials appear to have now drawn is that if Trump can be caught out of hours, when the president\u2019s top aides aren\u2019t patrolling the Oval Office, he\u2019ll give them what they want,” the report stated.<\/p>\n

But the trick could come with a catch for Mullin. <\/p>\n

“Administration sources warned that his weekend maneuver may not have been his wisest,” the Daily Beast reported. “Wiles was a supporter of Mullin\u2019s elevation to DHS in March, and going behind her back may have damaged that relationship.”<\/p>\n

The Daily Beast also notes Noem was fired just 34 days after she tried her late night “charm offensive” and Trump “handed her department to Mullin.”<\/p>\n
