As argued by the court, the cases weren\u2019t \u201cripe\u201d yet for a decision to be issued.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani on Thursday <u>granted<\/u> a 14-day temporary restraining order on the rollout of Trump\u2019s executive order. And, while it\u2019s \u201clikely\u201d to be \u201c<u>swiftly appealed<\/u>,\u201d Talwani\u2019s order included a subtle jab at what Vance called the Supreme Court\u2019s \u201cperplexing omission\u201d that appeared to undercut its own argument: that the U.S. Postal Service had already announced its \u201c<u>Final Rule<\/u>\u201d on adopting Trump\u2019s executive order.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Supreme Court gave no indication that it was aware of the Final Rule when the Order was issued,\u201d Talwani wrote. \u201cDefendants nonetheless insist, without citation, that \u2018publication of a Final Rule\u2019 was \u2018already known to the Supreme Court\u2019 at the time of the Court\u2019s Order.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Talwani also flagged what Vance characterized as the Supreme Court\u2019s selective outrage regarding abiding by court orders.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/propertyrelocationusa.com\/?p=6987\">\u2018Mentally unstable\u2019 Trump losing grip on power as major reckoning approaches: US senator<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cJudge Talwani also took a gentle, but satisfying slap at the Court, pointing out that the Trump administration isn\u2019t exactly playing by the rules when it comes to court orders,\u201d Vance wrote in an <u>analysis<\/u> published Friday on her Substack.<\/p>\n<p>With the Supreme Court now likely to decide whether to appeal Talwani\u2019s temporary restraining order, Vance outlined the potential outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWill the Supreme Court permit the administration to throw the upcoming elections into confusion and disenfranchise broad swaths of voters? John Roberts probably doesn\u2019t want that to be his legacy; it\u2019s already tarnished enough,\u201d Vance wrote. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe easy out for the Court will be blocking the measure for the 2026 elections, but allowing it to move forward for 2028.
