Democratic Senate nominee Angie Nixon hit back Sunday after being called a \u201cghetto b—-\u201d by far-right influencer and White House insider Laura Loomer, a racist attack that included a slight at her manner of speaking as a Black woman.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese women are all ghetto, entitled, race-obsessed, destructive black B—— who are completely unfit for the power they hold,\u201d Loomer wrote Friday in a social media post<\/u> on X, referring to Nixon, two Black female lawmakers and one former lawmaker.<\/p>\n

That same day, Nixon fired back at Loomer by flagging an odd moment in her career where she ate dog food on camera<\/u> to promote a company that sells \u201canti-woke\u201d products.<\/p>\n

\u201cGirl. You ate dog food on camera,\u201d Nixon wrote<\/u>. \u201cIn the words of Queen Latifah, \u2018Who you calling a b—-?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Loomer doubled down on her attack while also raising the topic of Ebonics<\/u>, which the Conference on College Composition & Communication defines as the \u201csuperordinate term for a category of Black language forms that derive from common historical, social, cultural, and material conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI called you a ghetto b—-, because you are, Angie, and your record proves it,\u201d Loomer wrote<\/u> Friday night. \u201cBut, you speak Ebonics though, so maybe I need to bark at you and tug your leash and then you\u2019ll finally understand.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nixon finally hit back at Loomer\u2019s latest attack on Sunday morning with a dismissive set of instructions for the far-right influencer along with a plug for her Senate campaign website.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen referring to me, it\u2019s Representative Angie Nixon. However after November 3rd, YOU CAN CALL ME SENATOR!\u201d Nixon wrote<\/u>. \u201cFolks. Donate if you want to see this happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nixon won her Democratic primary in a surprise upset<\/u> after defeating her Democratic opponent despite being outraised by more than 16-to-1. Nixon\u2019s victory represents the latest in a wave of victories<\/u> for progressive candidates in Democratic primaries.<\/p>\n

Loomer once described herself as a “white advocate” at an American Renaissance conference, a venue the Southern Poverty Law Center reportedly describes as a place where \u201cracist \u2018intellectuals\u2019 rub shoulders with Klansmen, neo-Nazis and other white supremacists.”<\/p>\n
