Body language experts described a “tight connection” between President Donald Trump and White House aide Natalie Harp after video of the two resurfaced online.

The clip is from the fourth episode of Art of the Surge, a Fox Nation docuseries on Donald Trump’s 2024 reelection campaign, posted to X in October 2024 and now carrying 9.8 million views.

Two experts analyzed the footage for HuffPost, where the story was first reported.

Body language expert Traci Brown told HuffPost that Harp was visibly locked in on Donald Trump’s every word as she typed his Truth Social posts while he watched Kamala Harris’s speech at the 2024 Democratic National Convention.

“[Harp] is laser focused, you can tell with the speed that she’s going on every word that he says — so there’s a really tight connection there,” Brown said.

Brown also noted that Donald Trump at times had his back turned to Harp while she worked.

“At times, his back was turned to her, and she’s still right there on his shoulder. There’s for sure a lot of urgency on her part to please him,” Brown told HuffPost.

“There’s a comfort there between them,” she said. “There isn’t any faking it, and if there is, fake only lasts for so long. Obviously they’ve been in [the room] for hours.”

Behavioral scientist Abbie Maroño, also speaking to HuffPost, focused on Donald Trump’s side of the exchange.

Maroño said Donald Trump issued instructions without slowing down or checking for understanding — the behavior of someone who expects to be followed without question.

“[It] suggests she is very used to working around him in this way,” Maroño said of Harp.

“Natalie Harp is one of the most loyal and hardest-working aides on President Trump’s team,” White House spokesman Davis Ingle told HuffPost.

The renewed scrutiny of Harp follows comments by Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA), who said at an Atlanta rally that Donald Trump “doesn’t want to do the job” and would rather “build his ballroom and travel with Natalie,” according to The New Republic.

Eric Trump also weighed in, calling Harp “an incredible young woman” before crediting her appearance to family bloodlines. “From the looks of it, she got all the family genetics,” he wrote on X.

Natalie Harp’s estranged brother, Preston Harp, offered a different view, telling CNN her devotion to the president was an “unhealthy obsession.”

“It’s an incredible thing to see how involved he is with everything,” she said.
