Rapper Boosie Badazz is publishing the text messages behind his failed six-figure bid to secure a pardon from President Donald Trump.

According to a Tuesday article by TMZ, the Baton Rouge artist posted screenshots to his X account of messages that offered a rare window into how self-styled pardon brokers pitch access to the president and what happens when the promised clemency never arrives.
According to TMZ, the texts appear to be exchanges between Boosie and Jack Burkman, one of the two political operatives the rapper says he paid $600,000 to work his case. The conversations reportedly ran from November 2025 through February 2026, with Burkman assuring the rapper his team was pushing the request forward.
“What’s going on Jack 5 DAYS LEFT (sic),” one of Boosie’s texts read.
“working round the clock as we speak. jacob and I have been in touch with meghan every hour. trump got back to DC today. early this morning. we’re on it. 24/7 my good friend (sic),” the broker’s response read.
“Trump is very sympathetic. We are very close, my good friend,” the response added.

At one point, the broker allegedly blamed the slow pace on the administration’s attention being consumed by a Venezuelan crisis in January, while insisting that the effort was still alive.
“Stand by. We may have news soon for our favorite client!!!!” the broker wrote.
The pardon never materialized. Boosie eventually texted Burkman demanding his money back, and he has since filed suit against Burkman and fellow operative Jacob Wohl in a bid to claw back the payment. In his posts accompanying the screenshots, Boosie accused the pair of lying about their White House connections and feeding him excuses.
The rapper laid out the same grievances on CBS’ ’60 Minutes’ on Sunday, telling Lesley Stahl he handed over the $600,000 for the pardon up front. Boosie claims that contract entitled him to half the money back if no pardon came through, a clause Burkman denies ever existed.
The rapper has been battling several legal issues, including a felony assault charge and a separate gun case.
